Re: VAG emmisionsgate what now?

VAG have stated that they will be reprogramming the ECU's, and in some cases also changing the fuel injectors . . . that is for vehicles in the UK . . . I suspect this is more than a pointless ruse which will have no effect on the car . . .

Re: VAG emmisionsgate what now?

That's fair enough but it's also then fair to say that we can't rule out that it may affect performance and/or economy. Thankfully all the spin doesn't change the way engines work . . . the good old laws of thermodynamics aren't subject to marketing sh*t. To reduce NOx without exhaust treatment (ur...

Re: On overtaking.

Should not of sat in line so long. :D I would do no3 three but hope not to push in. Usually Dom has gone first and softened them up. If you do a long line you end up going far to fast, or is that just me. Far too fast - yup - that's how fast you should be going . . . the less time you are ov...

Re: Should Red Bull abandon F1?

If it'll stop the petulant, never ending, bitching and whining then let's hope they abandon F1, F1 certainly seems to have abandoned them and for good reason.

Hopefully that tw@t yes/no Horner will *uck off as well.

Re: The K-series engine is sh*t. True Story.

(no fancy cams)If you want a K that runs much beyond 150bhp on a "reliable" basis, I think you have to accept that it then becomes a light racing / sprinting engine and MUST be regularly inspected and overhauled accordingly. That probably means pulling it apart every year or after a handful of trac...

Re: Watch lovers?

WTF - is this the longest thread on here ? . . . Anyways . . . have a seamaster auto which has seen about 15 years service, broke down about 4 years ago and went back to omega, repaired, broke in 2 months, they apologised and it's been perfect until the other day - dead again, now out of warranty . ...

Re: VAG - Naughty

Common engine across therm all. The 'device' is purely a feature in the ECU software . . they could ( and may end up) just flashing them with new firmware . . but this may cause the cars to fail other US regulations . . catch 22 perhaps . . unless they start changing emissions control parts which ma...

Yup, I am looking for a T5 for conversion to a camper, I hope they get reamed into the stone age . . . simply because the general public are to stupid to realise it makes no difference, to anything, whatsoever . . .
