You're an arse!
Still feel the SE spirit alive and kicking, and totally agree Steve can be thanked largely for that. As Campbell says, life is very different these days, but would hate to lose touch completely. Which reminds me, it's my turn to organise Abz curry...

Re: Anyone out there?
Interesting. It's not at all how I see things going. Battery tech has all the investment, so even ignoring the merits of any other solution, BEV could well be the VHS while other solutions are doomed to be the Betamax. I love CCs. They're made for Scotland, where snow isn't that common, but temps are low and roads are damp for 8 months of the year!

Have you looked on Streetview? I wouldn't make it in the 2-11 with <70mm clearance, but an Elise/Exige should be ok. It's a bit rough up past the dam, but looks like the fantastic scenery would be well worth a few scrapes on the undertray!

Re: New(ish) car .. not really Lotus Content and a long wait..
Encoded on the front face you can't see. Oversized encoders like that are for cylinder identification. Each cylinder has a different encoded pattern, hence the need for a bit more space on the face, hence the oversize encoder wheel. With cylinder ID, the ECU knows sooner where where the cam is in it...

I can't help technically, but if I could have one car back it would be the Sport160, just for that lumpy idle. Do it!

Narrowbody 997. I'd probably blow the budget for a later 997.2 C2S. Coupe, manual, simple spec, no toys. Dark green or blue.
