Re: Best hot hatch for £10k

R56 Cooper S, yes, except you've done the MINI thing, and I don't think a R56 Cooper S will excite significantly more than a Gen 1 Cooper Clubman. It might even disappoint. Worth a try though. Probably the nicest option to live with daily. Fiesta ST, yes, except you didn't like the dash on my 1.0 wh...

New sub forum required, methinks.

I have no idea whether this would fit - posting just in case.

That's for the wrong engine.

Fortunately, Campbell's car has the wrong engine, so that'll fit nicely!

Re: Anyone with an S1 111S or Sport 160?

I can't see past this beauty at the moment: https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/lotus/elise-s1/lotus-elise-sport-160-2000/9558960 I miss that lumpy idle so much! It pains me to say it, but the 111S is the better car (CR box, VVC torques etc), but for pure character a Scandal S160 is ha...

Re: Blairgowrie Classic Car Tour 2019 - 28th April

If anyone can display an interesting car in Blairgowrie, the organisers are going to arrange a visit to Morris Leslie’s car collection at a later date as a thank you. (some 650 cars and some flying things!)

If that swings it for you, let me know and I'll pass your details along.

Re: Blairgowrie Classic Car Tour 2019 - 28th April

I'm assured we'd be very welcome if we put a group together, despite the classic focus. It looks like a nice day out, if a bit more relaxed than our usual sort of thing. I'll try to sort something for next year... my dad's offered bacon rolls and coffee at his gaff in Blairgowrie, so that could be a...

Re: Blairgowrie Classic Car Tour 2019 - 28th April

James “birthday weekend”. He might appreciate a day out amongst some nice hardware. But he says we are only coming if you bring the 2-11 [emoji41] I don't think I'll be there. There's nothing in the diary, but every other weekend around it is rammed, and I'll probably want a weekend off. Might get ...

Blairgowrie Classic Car Tour 2019 - 28th April

This might be a nice day out if anyone is at a loose end. Same weekend as the SE Spring Run though... http://blairgowrieclassiccartour.co.uk/ The run/dinner itself is fully subscribed for this year, and the sedate pace and classic focus might not suit the majority of us, but the organisers have pass...

Re: Long shot - car to Craig at CMC

So, it's all Mike's fault for posting a link to Chrissy's website, I spotted the bit that says he does remapping... 1 hour later I've got some different 1s and 0s and a load more torque. Chrissy was great. Fitted me in at lunchtime in my break, and the car definitely feels quicker on the drive back....
