Re: Covid-19 Lockdown

Is going to your lock-up 2 miles away and self isolating, or working on your car outside in a small private car part punishable by hanging yet..?

Re: SE BMW M2 Club

Think I’m going to fit an LSD to my m140i and then when the warranty runs out, get a stage 1 boost up to 430bhp. Both the M135i / M140i should be upgraded in the following order IMO, and you might be surprised how improved dampers can help with some of the traction 'issues' - Suspension (Bilstein B...

Anyone used this storage / Garage space?

Looking for space for storage / maintenance / rebuild, and spotted this out near Insch:

Looks like there's a yellow Elise in there already, if it's anyone local..

Thinking mans engine!
Slightly bizarrely, the B58 engine in the 240i (and the new Supra) is superior older N55 the M2.. Surprised BMW didn't install the B58 in the M2 from the get go.. :?

Re: Best hot hatch for £10k

French is out. You're missing out on the undisputed hot hatch king then - Megane RS250 Yep, I had the same opinion as you (never had French, let alone a hot hatch), but honestly, the hype and consistent magazine test wins are fully deserved. Does all the hot hatch stuff easily - practical, 4 seats ...

You sell it well, Ross.
Just worth a look (I had to sell it to myself too, and get a poke around a friends car) - despite your automotive francophobia.. :P

Re: CUP 220 - S CUP or Exige v6

Totally subjective, but as lovely as the Elise is, its more of less the same formula as the Exige S2.. Same-ish weight, similar 4-cyl engine. Seems like a more up to date iteration of the S2 Exige. Watched one of the Carfection video reviews, and that was his conclusion. Not that it makes it any les...

Re: Yokohama AD08R discontinued

I 'downgraded' from AD08R's to V105S, and found them much better on the road (its a pure road tyre, no track pretences) with as much grip as you'd need on the road.

Plus it comes in the correct 195/50/16 :)
