Re: Where can I get a pallet - Aberdeen
Thanks for the kind offers for free pallets folks, but alas the main problem is getting it to my flat, as I have not suitable transport for it (was out measuring the GF's mini yesterday - no go, just).
I'll try one of those pallet places in Aberdeen
Cheers,
Ross

NE Damper Inspection?
Hi, Does anyone know of a reputable garage that would be able to inspect a set of Exige S Bilstein dampers which I recently bought, in the Aberdeenshire ? NE area? I bought a set for eBay for a rediculously cheap price, but one was noted as looking slightly 'wet' and was suspected to be leaking by t...

Re: Supercharger Pulley Installation
Managed to get it on.. :D Perched the pulley over the gas hob of the cooker, and heated the rest of the pulley with a blow torch (not my most eloquent of plans, but worked  ) and got alot of heat into it. Then once suitably baked, some good hard work with a big ratchet, and made it home.. Cheer...

Re: Snow on an S2 Elise soft top?
I don't have the soft top worry (have a hard top), but my main concern in with paint bubbling. There is already a few small bubbles on the rear clam (nothing major though) and I was wondering if a good coat of polish / wax will help prevent moisture ingress, which subsequently freezes causing the bu...

Not sure what you mean? The bolt I used was fully into the snout...r10crw wrote:Check the thread on the bolt is not too long, ie maybe the mount of the pulley is thinner?

Re: Supercharger Pulley Installation
Cheers mate. Car back together then? I think you mean you SC was one of the modular pulley types which have a press on 'hub' that goes onto the shaft, then the pulley bolts to the hub.. Mine in a straight press on / interference fit pulley. Gave it a go tonight. In the oven till 200c  Out and...

Supercharger Pulley Installation
Folks, I'm looking to install a pulley onto an M62 supercharger (same as Exige/Elise S?) but not sure I fancy giving it a go myself in case I mangle it... Anyone with any tips or even somewhere Aberdeenish who has done this? Options are heating the pulley with a combination of using the M8 t...

Re: Focus RS Drive
Bonkers car.. Had a shot in a 385hp version of the RS a few weeks ago through "exhilarate Scotland". Absolute giggle, but I reckon 385hp is too much through the front wheels in damp conditions. Cowan Driven the same car, and nearly implanted it into the back of the Aston Martin  I was...

Re: Problem with rear discs
Check the other side of the disc for pad contact area, and if thats good, could be sticking sliders, and / or sticking piston. It would be worth taking if all apart and checking pads are properly seated too.

Re: The Murray Lotus & AMP3 Charity Trackday 2011!
Cheers Shug, aye sounds like a good afternoon, and TBH, I wouldn't mind getting a pax ride with someone anyway to give me a bit of persepctive on what these cars can do round a track. Tut, yeah sent this week, but they say up to 3 weeks, so I wouldn't want to chance it by signing up (even though its...
