Re: Opinions on this car

It is indeed! I messaged the S1 owner that douglasgdmw posted earlier in this thread. Poor service history, both soft and hard tops need repairs and they were suggesting a full respray was required because of osmosis. It is a 111s though...... As its in Hawick and if your interested after you check...

Re: Opinions on this car

I would also try SELOC (https://classifieds.seloc.org/), LOTUS Forums (https://www.thelotusforums.com/) as well as lot of private sales through those boards

Haha, another one? It was hard enough to persuade my lovely wife to let me get one hobby car!!
Michael,

Unfortunately no S1 in the stable, had a S1 111S years ago and did look at one last year but unfortunately no approval :(

Re: Opinions on this car

Are you wanting to go down the S2 route as noticed this on Facebook Marketplace and may be another option

No affiliation, I had it saved in my MarketPlace but no joy from my lovely wife on me getting another S1 elise 🥲

Re: S1 auction

Faither G has used this platform to great effect and I hope to have a similar experience. I am biased….but the 111S is probably the best Loti I have ever owned…..and I’ve had a few It wants for nothing!! X I am just dissapointed you did not get a watch and cigar shot into your sale photo's. Must ad...

And another S1 at auction.
Hope it goes well, be interested to hear about the experience as heard good and bad about Collecting Cars - such as pressure to lower reserve etc.

Re: Builder Recommendations

You could try Moz & Murray?

Used them for my sash & case windows and know they do lots of extensions.

However they are likely to be really busy as been waiting a while to get some issues sorted as part of their 10yr guarantee.

Re: New lightweight - but four seater

Also just out of curiosity - is it exempt from the Edinburgh council LEZ zone ?

As my Landy is mot exempt I presumed that it would also be exempt from the LEZ zone but could not find any specific info on this?

Re: New lightweight - but four seater

Looks great and bet you it will be fun to drive.

As a relatively "new" owner of a 1963 Series 2a realising that an old car take on a whole level of driving skill. Never before have I had to concentrate so much at a paltry speed of less than 40mph [emoji6]

Re: Yaris GR Thoughts ?

Nope, they never phoned me back unfortunately.

However realised that the convenience of 5 doors is a lot better when you have dogs. Ended up getting another car - Mini JCW and kept the Golf
