Re: Tut the Legend
Sorry to hear the sad news. Although familiar with a lot of the “legend” stories through this forum, only ever met Tut in the flesh once, at TT 2010. My abiding memory of the evening “do” at Tut Towers that weekend, is the fact that Tut made the effort to spend a good amount of time chatting with me...

"WTF" car indeed - that's going to turn a head or two, no matter what MOT/nutter mapping you've got it set to Look forward to seeing it on the road in due course.

Have to confess that I don't always bother removing the roof if I'm just bumbling up/down the A90 to/from work.
Definitely not as "taps aff" hardcore as I used to be

Re: Rage to the point of EXPLODING!!!
Sadly, I can add to the list of self-inflicted “reversing into stuff” confessions, as I managed to reverse the Elise into a metal pole in a supermarket car park last year. Rewarded for my mistake/stupidity with a 4 month wait for Hethel to supply a new rear diffuser

Re: Need a welder - Edinburgh-ish
Cable ties. And an old Heinz beans tin No help to the OP – apologies - but gave me a flashback to when I was a lad just out of school. I had a mate who lashed an old soup can to the exhaust of his Austin 1100 (this wasn't yesterday!) in an attempt to "repair" a hole in the pipe work. Lasted about ½...

In at MMC last week for 2nd year service, new rear AD07s supplied and fitted and to get a couple of minor niggles sorted. Faultless effort from the service team (reception and workshop) - even sorted a scuff to one of the rear wheels FOC - thanks to all involved. Thanks too to Ian for his hospitalit...

Heard a bit about this on the radio this morning - the car couldn't differentiate between the white lorry and the "bright white sky", if I understood the explanation given correctly.

Re: Achmelvich beach in the news :-)
Interesting article Campbell. I find it strange that Broty beach is in the excellent category, yet Monifieth is in poor....I walk my dog there regularly (brought up in Broty so many happy memories) and the transition between the two aren't that noticeable....other than perhaps the erosion at M'fiet...

Hi Jim - yes, great to be out in the sun again.
The Ferrari looked/sounded awesome. Enjoyed following along behind you listening to the amazing noises coming from your exhaust (Capristo?) - fantastic repertoire of pops, gurgles and banshee wails
