Re: How to ignore a thread
There's arguably too many sub-forums as is. There have been several that were created to split out interest groups on request that haven't really seen that much traffic. Whilst I totally understand the frustration about some of the political posts and posters, it's not something that usually runs an...

Re: How to ignore a thread
Would be a great feature, but sadly we're at the mercy of phpBB as this isn't self-developed forum software and we try to keep 3rd party mods out of it as they have a nasty habit of breaking stuff unintentionally.

Not a hope - these things are timed to the minute and you're in a batch of attendees, so they ain't going to mix and match car types with a customer-owned car in the mix

Re: Nico Rosberg retires
Of course it makes absolutely no odds if you have zero interest in bikes, but for actual racing , you just can't beat them. Last season's MotoGP was the most competitive ever with seven different winners and the first race of this Superbike season last weekend saw insanely close races. Over the two ...

Re: Nico Rosberg retires
Yeah - obviously he can't say how he's thinking of doing it, but that was the jist of his conversation. It was carrot rather than stick - so one assumes FOM are looking at better ways of distributing cash to help the grid as a whole and therefore the "show" Cue Ferrari histrionics, of course, but th...

Re: Nico Rosberg retires
Very interesting interview with Ross Brawn on Sky Sports F1 where he picked up on the pay driver thing as a key issue. Saying they will be looking at ways of ensuring that a driver's financial package isn't more important to a mid-low tier team than raw pace. A very interesting interview if you can ...

Good wee list of roads everyone should try once.
Glad it's not giving away any secrets though - they're all pretty standard tourist fayre. Gets my goat when really good wee quiet roads are popularised and ruined

Re: Steering Feel - Why are modern cars so bad?
Moreover i don't think "modern" drivers know what good looks or feels like when it comes to steering. Take someone from a 300bhp fwd hatch with a dead front end and put them in an elise and they will moan about how unsafe it feels at 70mph......mainly cos the wheel actually moves! As a result i'd b...

Re: Dealing with Millennials - 15 mins wisely spent
It's a fair point. Society constantly strives to make life easier for themselves, with the effect that the following generation always have it easier. Then resentment because they didn't have the same struggle.

Re: We Buy Any Car
WBAC are pretty clear about their business model. The chipping down when you get to the inspection is a total pain, though. Fact is, it must work. They aren't short of takers for their service. So, if they are buying lots of cars, they must be offering enough to enough people. Obviously, a service d...

Re: We Buy Any Car
Speak to Craig - he'll guide you. Start collecting ads for cars in similar condition, age, mileage. You will need to fight the insurance company to get their valuation to come up to where it should be - it's their job to their shareholders to pay out as little as they can get away with, after all. J...
