Re: Anyone bought a new car recently?

I would avoid Porsche Aberdeen for sales. Wouldn't give me the time of day. Managed to piss off my nephew too when he enquired about a business lease in a Taycan and they fobbed him off. Was out with the Porsche Club for the first time in Saturday and I gather my experience is not unusual. Add me to...

Re: Yaris GR Thoughts ?

Saw my first one of these today heading out of Aberdeen on the Westhills road.
Looked good on only a quick glance.

Re: Spec

I liked the contrast between the bright yellow of the car and the matt(ish) black roof on my car. Good contrasts from side view also. Don't think it works so well on some of the other colours (only saw it in blue before i bought). Looks better with black mirrors too. Don't remember them being availa...

Re: Leccy cars

So i had a quick look and had to shake my head at one of the features -
"Lead Car Departure Notification System which provides an audio and visual notification when the car in front starts up from standstill traffic."

Or you could look through the windscreen?

Re: Could caterham take over the Elise/Exige chassis

BEV's are a legislated sticking plaster, it's difficult to see that they will be the technology of choice in a decade. That was obvious to anyone with half a brain cell. While they work well for local trips (up to half car range out and back) there is no chance of them ever being suitable for mass ...

Aberdeen meet

With Scotland moving to Level 2 as of Monday does anyone in the Aberdeen want to have a get together for a chat/coffee down at Aberdeen beach Sunday 22nd probably 10am?
Or open to other times/places.

Re: Could caterham take over the Elise/Exige chassis

I think it's pure speculation and a bit of good publicity for Lotus, but who in their right minds is going to take on a product which has less than 10 years to live in most countries?

Re: Lotus teaser/launch update link

Isn't the cheapest 911 now £100k? Bit strong for a base Lotus or top end for that matter. Basic 911 without extras is £84k. Remember going in to Murrays and seeing a Lotus (430gt?) with a £121k price tag on it. Kinda splitting hairs, nobody ever bought a 911 without any options on it. But even at £...

Re: Lotus teaser/launch update link

according to Evo prices start at 911 money, bye bye Elise market and traditional ownership enthusiast base . Time for Mazda to do a 250 bhp MX5. Isn't the cheapest 911 now £100k? Re: It’s time...

I have to admit to buying the car without doing too much research (and also to buying the first one I looked at and it was in budget), but it came with a two year warranty from a main dealer and was low mileage/owners. I know more about the cars now, but it looks like (touch wood) I've got a good on...
