Re: Hamil7on

Need to change the title to Sir Hamilton :) I’m not the biggest Lewis fan but i do feel he is the best especially when he is motivated and confident which isn’t necessarily when winning. You can also see when he isn’t so happy and the moaning and down mood kicks in. Last few Grand Prixs at various t...

Re: Yaris GR Thoughts ?

I said it’s a Yaris but not a Yaris as we know it and most will think it is just a Yaris

I’m now away to quickly register http://www.scottishgryarises.com/

I’ve not had a chance to look at any reviews yet but guess from above people like it

Re: Yaris GR Thoughts ?

Seemingly loads of UK journalists have had a shot, embargo to release any reviews until Tuesday.

No info from Toyota Helensburgh on when they will have their demonstrator in.

Re: Elise bike rack challenge

Would have suggested seasuckers. Not cheap though. OR a big padded bag and some bungee clamps secure in passenger seat. But If you want to play about I’ve got a Saris 2 bike carrier, needs a few places to secure the straps which suspect would be difficult. loads of Thule bars/clamps/foot packs to tr...

Re: Anyone bought or sold a car privately recently?

Others have replied since I started writing earlier Sold my BMW 320d in July for around £4.5K Usual chancers. And a few more using heartstrings ‘ I really need the car to get to work in coronavirus times plea, can I get it for £1k or £2k less’ But sold to first viewer who came up from London. Probab...

Re: Yaris GR Thoughts ?

Helensburgh should be getting their demonstrator very soon, said I’m interested in a drive. Contact beforehand was good, my sales exec hadn’t driven it and the one guy who had was off Saturday so I didn’t get much insight. Seating position slightly high but not terrible, gearshift seemed direct and ...

Re: Hethel Multi-million pound investment

Remember years ago we used to hear about Lotus Consultancy / Engineering or whatever for many other clients.

Did it disappear, reduce or just become less visible/promoted to public ?

Edited to add

All sounds good for Lotus and the brand

Re: Leven car company - Park’s now have Lotus franchise

Do you know which roads you went for the test drives ?

Suspect they would take you out towards Strathaven or East Kilbride.

Look forward to seeing a pleased new Exige owner come spring time.
Thought about the spec ?

Re: Yaris GR Thoughts ?

Said interested in the concept, definitely not same as buying ! Golf was to be my wife’s daily and work car, I don’t think she wants any kind of Yaris irrespective of whether Tommi’s team breathed on it. And it would need to be http://www.scottishgryarises.com/ can’t have just any yaris people joini...

Re: Yaris GR Thoughts ?

Agree £30k for a Yaris sounds and is expensive and there are lots of other ways to spend £30k on interesting used cars which you wouldn’t have to justify why to almost everyone you met. But as a totally new car neither the Yaris chassis or body, designed and built by one of Toyota’s internal special...
