V6 Exige/Evora Calipers and Pads (Sold!)

So I bought a set of red Lotus branded calipers & pads for the Exige V6 I didn't have and the Evora I no longer own.

Not sure why I still have them but thinking I should probably sell them on if anyone is looking.

Cheers!!

David.

GARW IC7 Digital Dash - £500 (sold)

Finally coming to the realisation that I'm never going to fit the dash I bought for my S1.

This one... https://garw.co/products/garw-ic7?variant=31500847301

It's still sitting in the box from new.

Happy to let it go for £500.

Cheers!

Dave.

Re: Best hot hatch for £10k

If I'd gone down the V6 Exige route, plan was to get a £10k hot hatch too. Unfortunately Leven kept trying to sell me an Exige for many thousands more than other dealers were selling them and ended up going off the whole idea and into an M2. With regards to the hot hatch though.... much as I would h...

Re: Interested in an Evora

Realistically it'll be for around 3-5k miles per year at most.. so may as well take advantage of that and get something where MPG is not a factor like it usually is. The days of big NA V8s etc are gone it seems so also keen to have one before they get too old too. £30k seems to buy a lot of RS5 too.

Re: Interested in an Evora

Funnily enough.. currently having a serious look at V8 RS5s.

Love the RS4s but already have one 'fast' estate so looking to compliment it with a coupe or something, rather than an even faster estate.

Re: Interested in an Evora

I'm back to forming a plan to sell mine 'soon' to get something SWMBO is happy to use if I bugger off in the 335d to a trail centre with the MTB etc.... but trying to find a replacement is proving to be one of life's great challenges. Fiesta ST, Mustang, M2, M3, M4, C63, Campervan.. etc. All on the ...

Re: Dreaded Clutch Problem (Sport350)

Following this thread with interest (and sadness) so definitely keep the updates going. Also not convinced I'd buy a used car from the dealer in question now... but also not convinced I'll be continuing with my plans for a 350. It may be a relatively rare issue with the clutch, but that's irrelevant...

Re: Tut the Legend

RIP Tut. Hope he's dicking them wherever he is. Owning an Elise has been life-changing and he was a big part of that. Those Tut-Towers events were epic every time. It won't be the same without him but at least he made sure to live life to the full. He'll be remembered for sure! Pic from my 1st ever ...

Hi Kinger !!

Looking sexy in the S1 .... albeit on the M8 in a wet rush hour. Brightened up my journey for sure!

Hope you enjoyed my multiple enthusiastic waves!!

Re: Heatproof material on the bulkhead

I wouldn’t go near an S2 manifold on the s1. I fitted one when I had the K and it was at that point I started frying alternators ... not to mention the paint damage to the boot lid from the heat too. I know others have had similar problems too. May be a series of coincidences, but any ‘gains’ aren’t...

Re: Dreaded Clutch Problem (Sport350)

The insurance clause about being garaged after 10 usually has a sub clause about only applying if the car is within a certain distance of your house, like 0.5 miles or something. Disappointing to hear about the lack of updates from Lotus and the dealer though. It’s right to expect and be given bette...

Re: New toy

The narrow power band might not be an issue on fresh out the wrapper cars with clever auto boxes and sequential or equally clever turbo arrangements. However, you don't have to go to old before cars have manual boxes and single old fashioned turbos where the power band restriction is more evident. ...

My commute is just under 100 miles as a round trip. I’m getting 40mpg in a 300+ bhp 4wd estate with stupid high torque too. Mix of stop start and foot down blasts when the traffic allows on the m8. The noise from the 6 cylinder diesel is actually surprisingly good and the power band is just constant...
