Re: Edinburgh Restaurant - looking for something different
I can recommend Divino, superb Italian and the wine Tasting is a great experience; their sommelier is excellent, really knowledgable and entertaining. If you like wine and want it to be, it can be a great night out or alternatively a quiet high quality meal if you’d prefer, also, not far from High S...

New PC - Antivirus Advice Please
I've recently bought a new PC for the first time in around 6 years so I'm a bit out of touch with the latest Antivirus software and wondered if anyone had any recommendations?
The new laptop comes with McAfee pre-installed but I don't believe it's the best available.
Thanks in advance,
Gordon

Re: Passport Renewal. FALC
I renewed a few years back in a Post Office and the process was pretty pain-free, if I remember correctly the photo is validated by the Post Office staff or is linked somehow to the DVLA and your driving licence. Either way, I was quite impressed by how much it had improved since my previous passpor...

Re: Car Shopping Misery
I'm on my second x5 and think they're really good, would have preferred an M5 but the Mrs insisted we got another X5 and since we were getting a puppy when we bought the most recent one it made sense.
I saw this one advertised, looks good: http://xdrivers.co.uk/forum/index.php/t ... 256.0.html

Re: Pacific Coast
I’ve done a few road trips in the last couple of years in and around California, both were great; in 2014 I hired a 6.2 V8 Camero convertible which was great fun and well specced with SatNav, Head Up display etc but only returned 15mpg over 2000 miles, petrol was cheap as chips though so not an issu...

Re: Paris - Areas to Stay for a Long Weekend
Guys, many thanks for all your replies, they’re all much appreciated, very helpful and I’ll hopefully get an opportunity to make use of them some time soon; I’ve been unable to move forward with this trip due a few complications with Amiee’s pregnancy so we’ll either need to chill in Edinburgh or ge...

Paris - Areas to Stay for a Long Weekend
I'm taking Amiee away for a weekend to celebrate her 40th in Paris in a few weeks and wondered if anyone could recommend anywhere to stay, be that an area, hotel or apartment? - I've not been there for around 12 years so a lot may have changed and my memory isn't that sharp so wondered if anyone had...

Re: recommended indian restaurant in edinburgh
I'd second Mother India and suggest a visit to the Jolly Judge for beers afterwards which is a good old traditional boozer; it's not too far from the castle, I reckon it'll be less than a 10 minute walk from Mother India. There are plenty of other pit stops you can make en route if you're looking to...

Tut, terrible news, sorry to hear that mate. You've already shown in this thread alone that you're a fighter so I wouldn't bet against you beating the odd, stay strong.

Re: BMW/mini scanner (nlc)
I don't have a scanner but if I can recommend a BMW specialist, M3 Motors in Bathgate, they correctly diagnosed and fixed every issue I had with my old X5.

Re: Hotel/B&B in Edinburgh centre with secure parking???
Urban village is pretty good, usually good value for money and has a large free car park, I live very close and have never heard of any car theft issues so your car should be safe there. The hotel is less than 2 miles to George Street and about 1 mile from Stockbridge so not too far to walk or get a...

Tax Planning - Any Contacts?
