LOL Robin, really enjoyed that trip into the unknown! Yep I have seen approx 3-figs' worth of Tuts in 3rd gear for first time in UJI's history and it was pretty mental. I would be able to go considerably faster under the Bridge at KH on that basis alone. Reason I asked the question is I seem to reca...

No need for miffery, it's not a race to the bhp finish line by any means ;-) I had to make a choice of cracking on, or potentially never getting around to this, owing to imminent arrival of Ford Junior #2. So Donnie was our deadline, and in true project delivery style, we made it ... just! You now h...

The fact that you know it would be a Quickie Divorce is sufficient to help avoid it, methinks :-)

OK, so trailer the Se7en to the Ring behind the RS6. Leather the Se7en around the ring and local backroads. Then leather the RS6 up and down the Autobahn [wthOUT trailer!] a couple of times.

Reverse all the above and you are home before you know it.

Job's a carrott...

Good stuff Campbell nice to here some of your tweaks are having great effect. But next, it's time to upgrade the driver...and that takes a lot, lot longer 8) Meantime, looking forward to TT07 as I think that's the next opportunity I'll get to properly stretch the car's legs...suddenly the straights...

Have you tried a short roof S2? Have to assume you haven't or there's no way you'd say that ;) I can get my roof on in about the same time it takes an S1 driver to clip the 2 side bars in! I have tried both types. Agree that the short version is quicker, so good for those who have manual dexterity ...

Surely there are plenty other places to "see what she'll do"...if nothing else you are prime to hit a deer * on a lot of the A9 and they will do you even more damage at illegal speed than anything plod can muster. And back on topic...

...not sure what is quite so fiddly with the S1 roof? I've used a few S2 roofs and didn't find them especially better.

With the S1, provided you get well drilled, it's a doddle. Although I admit it works way better when there's two of you to tackle it :-)
