Re: Daft Newbie Question-Where Does This Go?

You could do a complete system check. Operate everything and see if everything works.
If it's in the front it's less likely to be a critical engine plug I would have thought.

Re: How to Change a Fanbelt, watch your fingers!!!

Blimey! I have an electric compressor which has no starter so you need to flick it into motion. It can chew your fingers if you don't flick it on in the right fashion. It bloomin hurts when you get it wrong.

Steering Rack Gaitors

When taken off my shocks to send them away for refurb on Sunday I noticed my steering rack gaitors are very twisted. Possible one with a nick out of them too, I understand these do wear heavily and note in the history of my car it's had both a rack once and gaitors a few times. My question is... are...

Re: 23" Monitor

I only ever use one as I get eye strain moving from one to another. Currently use a 24" samsung that I got from ebuyer for about £200. works a treat, very good quality and the same resolution as that one you just bought Tut. TBH I find myself zooming pages sometimes as they display so small at that ...

Re: PS3 Eiger Nordwand Lap Times

ok, so had a shot last night on a mates setup. I got a 1'13.772 after taking turns for an hour or so after TopGear. This was with a steering wheel and it was a bit ragged so plenty of space for improvement. Great fun but the standard S2 is not quite as much fun as the tuned one, funny that... :D rig...

Re: Insurance while test driving

As with selling a motor bike, you can request a 'substantial' deposit (if not the whole price) before taking the car out if they only have 3rd party. The 'you break it, you buy it' idea should be enforced.

The day insurance thing is great info though. I'd never seen that before.
