So the 48 sizing chart says its possible to put on 5.5 inch rims but the 48 LTS tyre has a warning on the side saying not to fit on 5.5 rims :!: :?:  FFS why is nothing ever simple.... Thanks for the info so far guys. Think I'll make a few calls on Monday. If it's non sticky tyres, looks like ...

sticky tyres on S2
Another tyre thread  Must be at least a week since we have had one. Can’t see a definitive answer on this (mind you, can’t see that on many of these threads :) ) but here goes…. I am still running on RE040’s and before I order AD07’s, I looked into 888s or 48s as I quite fancied thes...

Spooky. I'm just reading this thread and the wife has come in with a pair of jeans she has just taken out the wash that have a rip in them under the right cheek. Not sure if it was the elise or not, but why do these sort of things happen to one of your best pair and not any of the old ones you use f...

Give these guys a call and see what they say. http://www.helphire.co.uk I used them about 5 years ago and aware others on here have used them more recently for non-fault claims. Were very good and only cost me £10 for an indemnity to ensure there was no way I'd end up with the bill if any problems a...

Brake Fluid date
Had my brake fluid changed last month and just noticed today there is a date stamped on the extra unused container I got back of 31.10.2006. Hopefully someone will tell me brake fluid is dated in the style of Budweiser beer bottles - i.e. this is a 'born on' date and is not a 'use before' date ........

visit to Murrays
Took a run through to MMC this afternoon to price a few parts as I had a day off, rather than phone. A couple of interesting things in the showroom and had a chat with Ian who helps Graeme. Firstly a 240 Exige in the new pearlescant Isotope Green which they only got in on Saturday. Apparently 3 were...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/7128548.stm :P glad to see the police are treated just like us That seems a bit harsh - didnt think you'd get a ban for 90 limit + 30mph...usually a ban! Unless your lucky! He'd have the book thrown at him 'cause he should know better??? Yeah, I remember the first t...

I was told from my incident a good few years ago when I was on 6 points and up at Perth court for doing 89.5 on the A9 not to drive on the day of the case. I didn't attend in person - got Lawyer to write and plead guilty by letter - but was told beforehand a court case meant I would get between 4 - ...
