Looking good for me now too. Front and rear grilles dropped off at Stu Pollock's yesterday (thanks for the directions Lawrence!) for sand-blasting and powder-coating, hope to have back in time for re-fitting on Sat. Some interesting bodges required there... Robin has cobbled together a new exhaust m...

Scott,

If you look at this site at the relevant times of day, it might give you a feel for traffic levels.

Edinburgh is one of the most car-unfriendly cities in the UK now. But not in a managed way, more a case of "we're just going to make it difficult for you but without providing strong enough alternatives". Though it is slowly getting better. Anyway, Castle Terrace Car Park (10 mins walk along to west...

Richard,

Cracking effort. You need some tyre wall black for that though. Halfords 2 in 1 tyre clean and shine is what you want :-)

Get that brand new look back, you'll be amazed how much it brings out the rest of the car.

Richard, If MexiTowers holds true to the TT formula, then it can be essentially what you want it to be on a scale from quiet cruise through the country to full-on blat at high risk of plod-intervention...as well as lads night out through to enjoyable social party for you plus partner. So I think it ...

Hello squad,

Doing my best to keep up with the posts. Now finding it difficult to decide which SE group to post into though =8-o

Ta for the warm welcome to "SE2". Bit like GP2, eh...bunch of young upstarts but probably more fun to watch than F1 ;-)

Gareth, re MMC valets...the guys are actually brilliant, I rarely get my car serviced there now due to cost and lack of frequency, but it used to be in there a lot and never once came back in anything other than showroom condition (unless I asked for it back early if in a hurry). Remember, they do A...

Doing my best to keep up! A digest would be nice ;-)

Not yet fully expert at spotting where latest activity is happening inside the BBS rooms, but enjoying lurking at any rate. I may come and go as work and 8-month-old baby demands fluctuate!

Hugh, the valet at MMC, recommended I use a blend of "nap" upholstery cleaner and standard exterior car shampoo to clean the polished alu surfaces inside the Elise. I put this together in one of those mist-spray bottles, and it certainly works well, does not seem to have affected the polished finish...

Ah well, busy busy you know...and lots of inertia when it comes to upgrading to all this newfangled technology! I guess I noticed that the email list was getting a bit quiet, so I lurked around on here a few times and when I saw the classic old bodyshop plea, I just *had* to plug me old matey Steve ...
