Re: elise touring pack?

Think most models around that time seems to have the Touring pack which is Leather seats, additional sound insulation, auxillary driving lights in front grill, an interior stowage net, carpeting (along sills), insulated ie double layer soft top and possibly the dab, single CD & MP3 radio is part of ...

Re: Red Arrow down

Utmost respect for these guys and what they do being the best in the world and the risks they take, seen a couple of programs on TV about the red arrows team, how the team work together and the families left behind for 9 months of the year. I really would love to be the best of the best and so sad w...

Re: Looters....cross post from SELOC

There was a classified added last week in SELOC which is still there, wasnt sure if it was for real or a pi**take, surprised it wasn't removed by administrators whichever it was. Can't upload a picture because I am at work but this was the text of the advert Ipad 2 (x7), 42” 3d TV (x5), Various lapt...

Re: Scottish Italian car and bike day 14th August hopetoun h

I went in the afternoon and parked up with pistonheads guys in line with the other S2's Great to have a close wander amongst all the cars. You realise how big the supercars especially the lambo's really are - aventador is all sharp angles and looked good in white. Saw my first production Alfa Romeo ...

Re: New Business Venture (some lotus Content)

I'm browsing via safari on iPhone3 and looks like your header details on the website but the details relate to a New York make-up artist so worth getting someone via mobile to show you what is happening. PS models aren't up to much either !! Searched on the contact email address noted in the details...

Re: S2(2001) Wiper Blades

So in summary S2's are better than S1's in many areas :ROFL

Alternatively get your car to Murray's, Craig gave me my s2 wiper blade replaced for free (i think) - but then it did cost me £700 for other work so maybe not the cheapest approach overall.

Re: This ones actually car related! R400 seller saga!

I was kind to my seller and gave him the money back (maybe too kind as it has cost me a load of extra money and time now as I withdrew the car for sale when he paid the deposit in advance of buying the car) although my assumption was when he paid deposit the car was sold because he had satisified hi...

Weegie Lift to MMC ?

My car is in Murray's, should be ready by Monday night.
Anyone from the Glasgow/Lanarkshire going through who could give me a lift daytime, evening or next weekend ?
Happy to run you back if dropping yours off.

Re: S2 discs and pads....

Have gone for EBC discs and also RC5's, hopefully the latter won't eat discs as badly as the RC6s..... Did you find anyone doing a good deal ? I'm getting front discs and pads in next few weeks, had a look at prices the other week and it was either Elise shop or Elise parts were a bit cheaper on pa...

Re: Tenting and all that jazz...

This is a full list as posted up by Jen for the achmelvich camping weekend. Is a pretty comprehensive list so better to use to get you thinking rather than buying it all. Decathlon (one in Glasgow Fort shops) are pretty cheap for camping accessories, can't remember whether they do tents. Tesco have ...

Re: New noise...

To the newer members, is there a simple reason why your Elise is left hand drive ?
I'm presuming somewhere in your 13639 posts it will be mentioned and presuming it won't be simple.

Re: 135R owners.....

If anyone is thinking of wheel refurbishments there is a deal started in Pistonheads (just look at the regional Pistonheads Scotland forum) of £200 for 4 wheels from 'the wheel specialist' in East Kilbride. Needs 10 people and mentions sane day service if required. See http://www.pistonheads.com/gas...

Re: My McLaren Bubble Burst

This months EVO has an article about how McLaren is addressing the issues critics have with the car. It seems they have made a number of changes already. See here: http://www.evo.co.uk/news/evonews/270433/mclaren_tweaks_the_mp412c_supercar.html I read that in Evo as well. The interesting quote is M...

Re: Runflats

Have fitted 2 normal tyres to my wife's 03 320d touring. .......... Though what sealed the deal for me was that though BMW were fitting runflats as standard in 03, they weren't fitting tyre pressure guages to all cars so there was no way of knowing if my wife's car had a puncture until it was reall...
