Re: Cayman GT4 - you are kidding, right?

As you know my mate got his at list.

His old boy was given a nudge and a wink that he was getting the one 911R they'd been allocated. Apparently that's been pulled from under him to give to a 918 customer.

Whatever happened to yours Andy?

Re: Cayman GT4 - you are kidding, right?

Yup.

IIRC you could get a dopey one for £35k but £50k bagged a minter at the bottom of the market

Re: Cayman GT4 - you are kidding, right?

The previous gen 911 GT3 RS 4.0 (forgive me if I got that title a bit wrong)... is another example of crazy values. Aren't they circa £250k? Add £100k. It's horses for courses. It was a £65k list price limited edition that not only (finally) put a 911 engine amidships but had the GT3 front end ... ...

Re: Would this help stop the recent trend in car theft?

I'd be petrified of some sort of ECU add-on that wasn't OEM approved deciding to kill my fuelling whilst on the motorway. I'd be far happier just letting them take my car - that's what insurance is for. I'm not saying I'd make it easy for them to nick the keys but if they're so determined to take th...

Re: My New car

It all seems so recent. I remember seeing ed's yellow one parked off Leith Walk (what was the development called again?). Then I saw that black Exige. Drool. When they were virtually just out. Still, you replaced it with something special ...

Re: Private plate transfer question

As soon as you complete the online process you get an email saying you can use the 'new' registration. No need to wait for a new V5. Fancyplates.com or others will make them up for you.

Re: Private plate transfer question

It's all online now - just google 'how to put a private plate on a car' and you'll get a link to the gov website. It'll take about two minutes but when it's done, that's the reg on the car... don't do it before you've got the acrylic plates made up.
