Its ok - temporary insanity has now passed. Vauxhalls are sooooooo much cooler than Elises :P To be honest I went to see Gavin, but i don't think the figures stack up at the moment so the car is staying put for the forseeable future. Plus I had a good run on the way home and noticed JUST how many lo...

I'm going to MMC Glasgow, it was Gavin who gave me my first taster of Elise motoring so IF i do buy I'd like him to get the sale.

I'm thinking 111R at the moment.

Is this a very silly idea ?!?!

Well the VX is broken AGAIN :( Something is catching / graunching on the back nearside corner then i reverse on full lock.........but Vauxhall had replaced a toelink on Wednesday so I'm guessing they've just made a complete f*cking hash of fixing it. After fuming inside for a while I went back outsi...

What the f*ck is going on in Perth ?

Had to blast (well trundle in my corsa) up to Inverness to pick up my car (picked a lovely night for it too!) and stopped off at perth and cruised past Grassicks BMW. What was in the showroom ? A Gallardo and a Vantage ! And 4 TVRS sitting outside the Honda garage. What the f*ck is going on in Perth...

At least i know he'll look after it :D

Problem is, car is still under warranty and the only VX (ahem) specialist in Glasgow is Arnold Clark. The alternative is a day off work and a drive to Stirling, Edinburgh or Dumbarton..............or use an independent and face long drawn out battles if something goes wrong cos its been serviced out...

Car was serviced in April, geo was done by Willie at CLCM in June IIRC. I don't know Willie but from the little i do know of him (and his reputation) I'd trust him completely. Vauxhall (Arnold Clark in Shawlands incidentially) "checked" the rear suspension on the 12th July as I felt it was overly no...

UPDATE : Just spoke to the service manager, who seems a top bloke He says that tie rod adjustment lock nut has obviously been loose for some time, and over a period it has stripped the thread and finally given way when I reversed. :o I asked if there was any way I / the garage could have seen this a...

Toe-link? I know NOTHING about anything mechanical  but another VX NA has their tie rod arm fail the other week. Clearly this means nothing to me, but it sounds serious! Same as a toe-linke ?!?!? Apparently there is now an uprated part available...............which does lead one to question w...
