Cobra Goldline 6019HF
My S1 has a Cobra Goldline 6019HF fitted, occasionally the siren goes off for no apparent reason (like 5am this morning). Although the siren goes off, the hazards don't flash and it doesn't immobilize the engine either. I have the key to turn the siren off, but you can't remove the key when its turn...

Re: Cycling - NLC
Thanks for the write up on the Bamboo Fat Bike, I recently bought an Onone Fatty and its not as slow as they look, I have done loads of ghetto tubeless setups (fatty included) if you need any pointers.

Loving the Bamboo Fat Bike, was it hard to make?
I bought an OnOne Fatty a couple of weeks ago, so still getting used to it.

Re: Cycling - NLC
Anyone do Ten Under The Ben at the weekend?
Despite having not done the training I had planned, and with a cold and a sore back, still managed 2nd place in the Vet Pairs.
Thinking about entering Relentless 24 in October.

Re: Bleeding Brakes S1
Success, it would appear I had actually fully bled the system, however I was using blocks of softwood in the calipers instead of the pads and discs, and it would appear the wood was compressing so much that the pedal was going to the floor.
Just the tracking to set, and BUB will be back on the road

Re: Bleeding Brakes S1
Cool thanks, I had my 9 year old son helping me, and he admitted after to just pressing any random pedal
My Ace mechanic is coming round tonight, so hopefully will get it sorted.

Bleeding Brakes S1
Any tips I haven't already read about for bleeding S1 brakes? Using an Easybleed and tried rotating front calipers and pushing pistons in/out and there is still air in the system, have already wasted £25 of Castrol Super Dot4.

Re: For the Love Of Cars S2
That was my good friend Jonny that sourced the SAAB, it had been sitting in my other friends parents drive in Loanhead for years, I bet they were glad to get rid of it.

Thats a bugger, I think I noticed a bit of corrosion in the same area, but nothing that bad, but will be having a closer inspection tonight.

Re: Brake Lines
Thanks for the insight, mine weren't in bad shape after all, so think I will hold off until the winter as desperate to get the car back on the road.

Thanks for the replies, looks like I will wait until next winter, when I refurb the rear suspension.

Brake Lines
Does anyone have any info/tips on how to replace the solid brake lines that run from the front to rear of an S1, I have the undertrays off, but don't know where/how the lines are routed.
There is a bit of external corrosion near the rear wishbones, is this common?
Cheers Doug
