Re: NLC - Camcorders

Ended up accepting to pay a bit more and going for the Sony HDR-CX130 but it includes a £50 cashback so got it for £210.

ps how cool are the models with the built in projector !? couldn't justify nearly double the price though.

Re: Land Rover Evoque - WTF is that about? (CNLC)

Agree with JJ's comments above, it's a jazzed up Freelander.

I looked at them for my wife as she felt the RR Sport was just a bit too big and I think that pretty much hits the nail on the head for what they are.

I then went and bought her an Audi S5, work that one out

Re: Audi S3 is it a munter?

I'm using the S5 as a daily at the moment and it's averaging 15-25mpg depending on traffic, route, mood etc. 70 mile round trip. Slow traffic, I can't see more than 15mpg, steady motorway run I've had it up at 30mpg. I find the variables really have an impact on this engine meaning the swing in MPG ...

Re: My new Purchase

Really enjoying it

I've been running it as a daily over the past few weeks and clocked 1k's worth of mileage, I have had to fill it up 4 times at £80 a whip (super unleaded)

£320 :!: I'll be giving it back to the wife next week for her 10 miles a day !

Never get tired of the V8 noise.

NLC - Camcorders

Plenty of techies on here.

I'm looking for a HD camcorder, budget around £200. Anything specific to look out for ?

Canon seem to get good reviews, what about panasonic JVC and Sony ???

Cheers

Re: Tosser

To be honest I found this quiet funny  :blackeye I've been messed about by dealers not returning calls and doing what they should by certain timescales so I can remotely relate to this. I'll note this for future reference in the event I'm mucked about again  I never mucked him about, tol...

Re: My new Purchase

Saw my first rs5 at the weekend, I didn't even know they made them. This is to rival the M3, the S5 is more on par with the 335i. It has the 4.2V8 engine but is a reworked version of the 5.0V10 from the S6, S8, R8 and Lambo's. Has about 100bhp more than the S5, I can only imagine what kind of machi...

Re: My new Purchase

Peter - Pityit's being phased out, the 2012 S5 comes with the 3.0V6T.

Gareth - I've had the meaning of the registration plate debate more times than I can remember to the point where I might punt it

Loving the V8 noise, I've rarely had music on since I got it :thumbsup

My new Purchase

After much trawling I picked this up last week from Perth Audi. Very happy with it, the V8 noise is the best bit. http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u164/CSK423/S5/P1000828.jpg http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u164/CSK423/S5/P1000829.jpg http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u164/CSK423/S5/P1000832.j...

Re: BMW D3s

That's the thing...you enter M3 money. OK, it's all in the running costs. I'd just like some real life figures for mpg. At 1000 miles a month, I don't want a a £100 weekly bill where currently it's £70 p/w. M3 getting 21mpg mostly urban, quite a small tank I think as ~260miles. They should get real...

That's good to know as I might end up down that route.
