Re: Update on my S1

LOOP "EXPERIENCE". I've had a look at website, usually just use foam plugs on long drives with top off. So recommended then, and would you upgrade to the extra 5Db mute if buying again ? £30 for a plastic plug seems steep but ifs they work they work .

Re: Body shop recommendations

Agnmorscoachworks.co.uk. is the body shop on south street. Painted my dads kit car 25 years ago, a combo of aluminium and fibreglass panels. Did an excellent job. I know it was 25 yrs ago but the fact that they are still trading is a good sign .

Re: Le Man vs Le Man Classic 2020

Even General tickets sold out, blimey that's a new one. Post Covid demand. Ive been 6 times to 24 hr, usually 250,000-280,000. And the Classic in 2016 with 50,000.

Well I'll be putting my tent up in back garden and stocking up on stubbies of bier d'alsace, cheese, and spicy paprika sausages .

Re: Le Man vs Le Man Classic 2020

I was thinking about a trip to the standard Le Man’s this year but I see it sold out a while ago. Ah Bugger. I was all set to go this year. Free accommodation sorted with a friend who lives there. Time off work approved. Thankfully, I hadn't booked flights. I never thought the tickets would be an i...

Re: Opinions on this car

I have a 2003 that has gone from 4000-65000 in the 6 years I have had it, and worth around your budget. CMC has serviced it every year and averages about £1000 p.a. though with inflation expect to rise. Touch wood no major failures. in 6 yrs 2 x C service, annual A service, tyres etc. if you budget ...

Re: Opinions on this car

the right cars sell quickly, like the aubergine one despite the dubious stripes and wheels, go with your head and not your heart. As mentioned above , call Craig Moncrieff and let him know you are looking, he will put you in his wee black book .

Re: Opinions on this car

Ps. I think that’s Sports Tourer spec from the few pics. I have a 53 plate sports tourer and imho £16995 is on the money as I do follow these. Have agreed value ins at £18k .

Re: Opinions on this car

The aubergine one in Edinburgh looks a better bet imho. Just remove the stripes and powder coat wheels satin black. Dougie on here also has an aubergine S2. Looks good in the flesh ( or should that be skin 🍆 ) .

Re: Jackie Stewart Classic

A very impressive display of Jackies race cars through this career, from E types, BRM, all his Tyrell’s, and Stewarts driven by Barichello and Herbert . The Red Bull, what a noise, I think it was last of the V8s . And seeing Jackie drive his 1969 Matra, legend .
