Re: French Frolic 2022

The gimp mask was the same day Ali broke Paul's leg if I remember correctly :-). Paul seems to have forgotten/forgiven you Ali!

It's going to be a good trip I think!

Re: French Frolic 2022

I booked chunnel 10.20 on Monday 15/8 10:20 and Sunday 21/8 05:20 Last time I went orange to Edinburgh via Tom's place to the west of London but had Tom for company. We left orange super early. This time will break the journey in Calais on Saturday night, but will still be leaving orange super early...

Re: Can i look at your s2 Elise?

Hi Mike, Welcome to look at mine, but it's not here right now ... I'll post on this thread when I get it back and if you still want to take a look you're most welcome (also in Edinburgh). I have one of the last VVC S2 in the hope that it might not break down quite as often as the earlier K16 variant...

Re: No elise content. Running - wings for life - Walking Macmillan

I expect the hike on the day will be madly busy - pace will probably be set by congestion, though no doubt there will be some overtaking ops ;-). Need to get a reasonably small/light rucksack organised - the thing I use for work is useless should it rain :-). Luckily I don't need new boots - just ne...

Aha - apologies for two threads cock up - the old grey matter isn't what it used to be, that's my excuse :-)

Will check out Silverstone dates - expect I can tack it on though.

Re: Treadmills

These days I do a bit of running. I thoroughly recommend reconsidering the outdoors vs the treadmill. Ignoring the well being stuff (fresh air, natural light, blah, blah) the main difference I think is that running on treadmills is going to get boring, unless you are seriously into your strava-pelet...

Re: Crypto Currency Trading

For sure there is a large gambling element here. Central bank backed currencies have more or less predictable futures - sometimes you cannot see why the dollar appreciated against the pound or vice versa, but for sure there is an underlying sane reason to do with international trade, investors looki...

No elise content. Running - wings for life - Walking Macmillan

A couple of events I would like to make you aware of. I did this last year and plan to do it this year - I am not asking for donations - but anyone that wants to enter can do so. https://www.wingsforlifeworldrun.com/en?viewerCountry=GB It's a world wide race that starts at noon UK time, Sunday May 8...

What car are you driving Donald? Get yourself a sh*t old Elise - they do 5 laps to a 36l tank (note: they do not do 6 laps :-)).

Re: S1 Exhaust movement

Has the back box moved through the rubbers or is it just the tailpipes that move?

Re: S1 Gearbox backlash

The shafts are weaker than the box I think. But driving over the kerbs on full throttle is definitely tough on the shaft and box as the wheel alternately spins and grips. When you are turning the shaft is the other wheel locked, so the diff is pushing against the output shaft of gearbox or is the ot...
