Jamie, Agree that you have to look at convenience/cost but at the other end I would hope that a company would not take advantage of their customers due to location. It's the age old argument that a lot of members here have decided to not go to Murray's due to the increasing costs. There is a big dif...

Spoke to F1 Performance in Newcastle and they said that for the service they are just above the £270 mark + £45 for brake lines being bled.

Considering they are a Lotus dealership this is substantially cheaper than MMC.

Looks like it will be a Newcastle Shopping trip next year :)

Do not know whether the £385 was after VAT, better hope so as my wife is picking up the car soon and will have a hairy fit if they add some more onto the already horrendous figure. I always had them service the S1 111S and been a loyal customer/returning customer but feel that they are taking the bi...

Elise just been serviced - is the cost justified

Just had the Elise in for it's 1st service (which I believe is an oil/filter change) by MMC and the bill has come to £385  Is this the normal price for a 111R A service? Spoken to Bill Young and he said that is the normal price. If that is the case then I am going down to Lotus dealership at N...

Robin,

Already checked my usage limit. Used 571.15Mb this month so I am not even remotely close to my limit.

Obviously not doing enough surfing as my limit on the contract is: 2,097MB

Will not be able to do the speed tester until tonight when I get back home but will let you know.

Cheers

Broadband Download Speed

Folks, I am sure that my broadband is not behaving itself as throughout the evening the speed can be very very slow. I know that it is up to load and who else is using the pipe but wondering if anyone can recommend any Free Broadband Speed s/w to give this info to the ISP to see whether they can do ...

An option could be to take the 340R to Le Mans and let DHL take care of the luggage.

A mate of mine did that when he had his 916 for the IOM TT & it worked a treat.

Stockholm would get my vote! Been twice and absolutely love it, although having been in February and April, I preferred the colder wintery feel to the city in February. But a beautiful (if slightly expensive) place to visit any time of year :) Stockholm is a lovely place, unfortunately it was on bu...

Do not know how close you are going to Bologna but would recommend some automotive excursions: Ducati museum is great, not done Moto Guzzi factory at the Lakes its seemingly interesting, other options would be Maranella and obviously the Pagini factory. The Italian lakes are an absolute must. Must a...

YvoTuk, I have often stayed at the PierHouse at Port Appin which is not too far from Oban. http://www.pierhousehotel.co.uk When I am up there I first go to Oban as there is a lovely Seafood shack beside the ferry terminal in the harbour (ignore the ones closer to the road as this one is a lot better...
