Re: Lotus Mode -E10 Compatible?
The engine might be fine but no guarantee everything else will be.
It could be more related to the fuel pump and ancillary equipment unique to the Elise. The Rover stuff might be fine the God knows what parts bin Lotus raided to build the fuel system on the Elise.

Is sitting at home dreaming about trackdays all you do in your Lotus then?
I could see myself tagging along to some of these track day sessions, bring the camera gear, maybe grab a few pax laps. Only if the route down was a little interesting. I don't really fancy doing motorway miles in convoy. I remember the Donington Lotus festival that we went to several years ago. The...

Re: Overheating donkey!
Yeah, I still think it's the head. Might be opening up when hot. Here's the thing - you're getting some sort of coolant loss/gas in the coolant - where in the system is that happening? Remove all the spark plugs and see whether one is much cleaner than the others. Also give it a spanking so that it...

Re: Overheating donkey!
Head issue... leaking exhaust into the cooling system.. similar symptoms to a water pump. 1. The car will run and sit at idle for hours without issue? 2. After a good spanking you get a temperature spike that only gets worse? That will be the exhaust gasses cavitating in the pump. A good rev starts ...

Re: Are track days all you do in your Lotus then?
So what we need maybe is less of the Hoon and more of the Tour mentality when we are out for runs.

Is sitting at home dreaming about trackdays all you do in your Lotus then?
Not much happening on SE recently... Forum has been a little quiet of late. Is it just the lucky few with significant disposable income that can throw their car on track every other weekend. Plan Euro trips on a whim without financial consequence. Is that what SE has turned into? What happened to th...

Re: S1 lights LED Headlights and driving lights?
Tempted to try the LED bulbs in all of the lights, spotlights, indicators, brake lights and all. My Stack unit would dim and the indicated water temperature would change when I turned my lights on. I have heard that the LED lights pull less amps. Must check to see if the Stack still does that... Hm...
