Re: Nice walks in central Scotland

Would you not consider getting another dog?

Probably a bit far out for you but I have always like the walk up Dumgoyne. Park at the distillery and an easy 90 mins up and down with some great views of Loch Lomond, Trossachs and the greatest city in the world.

Re: SE on WhatsApp

For a long time it been more about the cliques and not the community, WA and associated cliques will kill SE to death eventually.

Nice one for trying though Dom, I know this place still means a lot, you even got me to reply.

Re: Our fave Achmelvich Beach in the news

I still have photos on my phone of the bonfires we have had on the west coast, which I of course let him see. He was utterly bewildered when he asked if it was ok to have campfires on the beach and I said it's fine but you will have to import your own firewood.

Re: Our fave Achmelvich Beach in the news

Except now it'll be mobbed :-/ It's ok, the constant drizzle and midgies will soon dampen the spirits of the newbie tourist hordes :D A work colleague will be up there this weekend. He is from Romania and has friends over for a road trip around Scotland. His original big idea was a link up of Aberd...

Re: Has anybody changed their vote about independence??

As a moderator I merely wanted to avoid any more members being removed as a result of abuse / misuse of the term. Debating the issue you describe is fine I'm sure. We just ask people to stay respectful. Too be fair Campbell, you just didn't get the relevance which I thought was fairly obvious given...

'Sake. That now ruins my light hearted joke about serious stuff (yes I acknowledge it's a very sensitive issue before anyone jumps on their high horse).

Auto corrupt, is that a euphemism for wanking?

Hm. Well I'll take your word for it. Just note that rape refs are off limits here. Just watched the Sir Chris Hoy and GT Ford/ Le Blanc bit which is by quite a margin the best stuff the new TG era has produced.

Bumping. A bad sign. Just watching Sundays episode. Joey from Friends is getting better, best thing about the new format. Harris is ok, has a rapport with Leblanc Rory. Not getting him at all. Hammond minus a personality and too much sugar. Anything with Sabine or EJ is utter cack. That said, the th...

Re: Has anybody changed their vote about independence??

I find it really quite bizarre that anyone would consider leaving Scotland because of another referendum vote. I am sanguine about the whole thing. Let's just say Scotland had voted to leave last time around - what difference would it have made to me or my family? A bit of a marginal difference in ...

Re: Friggin Cyclists

I agree, why shouldn't they ? What difference will it make? As a cyclist I am not going to start thinking I had better be careful now to avoid an expensive insurance claim. I am already thinking I had better be carefule because if I get into a fight with a car I am probably going to lose. But, hey,...
