Heading north near Dalkeith about 5pm today. I gave you a wave as I headed south on a route round the Borders.

Re: Two VX220s Knockhill to Powmill
Yes think so! Black one was second and probably red first. I'll blame the dazzling sun or shade from the trees for my poor observation. I'd usually clock reg. numbers too but didn't get time. It was a great evening for it

Re: Green S1 heading to Lanark
Now you mention it, I can't think of the last Elise I saw, except at CMC. Don't know how familiar you are with the area, but there's a great stretch of road for the Elise in the B7016 from just north of Forth towards Carnwath. It only adds a mile or two going back past Carstairs if you were heading ...

Green S1 heading to Lanark
On the A706 south of Forth about 5pm yesterday. Wave exchanged. I only saw you at the last minute, got the impression your colour was green with black?

New car tax
I've only recently picked up on this. If you're thinking of buying a new car this year, now may be the time to do it! https://www.gov.uk/government/news/new-vehicle-tax-rates-from-1-april-2017 A new car over £40k attracts an additional £310, e.g. Total £450 even for low emission cars. Tesla gets hit...

Pothole damage claim
I've just been refused a claim by D&G. Currently awaiting on the road reports. They are fools, as they told me in the letter, the crater was noted and on their horizon at my time of claim, and was subsequently repaired. 3 months now, and its still not been repaired lol. I have photos over the full ...

Re: Pothole damage claim
Thanks, really useful and I will raise that FOI. If D&G council have similar regimes then they should have rectified the issue within 7 days of inspection so I'll be looking for recent inspection records covering the road. I may even take a trip back down there to check in a few days but will FOI fi...

Re: Pothole damage claim
Is there are logic to "if they knew about it"? I've done my duty and reported it as soon as I could, allowing them to sort it and reduce the risk of further claims. Is it that the crater could have appeared in a few hours giving them no time to address it, so they're not liable? Sent from my iPad us...

Pothole damage claim
Has anyone successfully claimed against a council for damage caused by hitting a pothole (more of a crater in my case)? I've taken plenty photos of the car killer I hit in the Dumfries area on Saturday, reported the pothole through the council website and got a case number. I'm guessing it co...

Re: Friends 50th
How about a day or two with a 50 year old car? I got a mate a voucher from www.vintage-classics.com. They're based well down south but it could be the chance to plan a memorable trip for the two of them! My mate chose this: http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161009/f613a0b786dcad63595a1a1dd8ea5d4e.jp...
