Re: Lotus teaser/launch update link
Looks impressive and really like the shape, seems well proportioned. Evora sized, look forward to seeing one in real life. Good video link for a bit more info on the spec, not much was mentioned in the launch. Good luck to Lotus, hope it sells well and is a success. Especially to increase second han...

Re: It’s time...
Sure I saw that on Scottish Motor Services website.
But not showing now and I was in their garage in last few weeks and no Exige in stock.
Picture is their standard location (Glasgow) they use for all shots.

Re: Silverstone Classic 2021 - 30 Jul to 1 Aug
I did seriously consider going this year again.
After my first time enjoyable visit 2019, meeting up with Campbell for a few hours Saturday (planned ) and also Ali (unplanned but bumped into him in a bar )
Only made a final decision 2 weeks ago not to go this year.
Enjoy

Re: Anyone bought a new car recently?
Sad to hear your Elise is gone.
But sure your remote buy will be fine, car looks good.
Interested in hearing how practical you find it and how much you use it.

Re: Spec
Definitely needs black rear panel And not discussed but black petrol filler surround is good. Not the rest. Both my Elises came with hardtops I do feel they give the Elise quite a different look (when in body colour) and it’s a good look. But I used neither apart from the day I bought the cars. So d...

Re: Anyone bought a new car recently?
Agreed unlucky yes but some of the circumstances around timings/COVID restrictions/distance buy became a factor. I do feel a bit pissed off my diligence hasn’t worked out Yes 1st one mapped. Bought via non VW dealer but still a big franchise, ironically dealer had been to a VW garage pre-purchase ac...

Re: Anyone bought a new car recently?
Long story of my car buying saga in lockdown, on car no 4 in 11 months, it’s on hold for now but not ended… Normally my car buys go ok don’t buy that many cars, I’ve distance bought before and don’t consider myself that fussy, was looking to replace the daily my wife uses, a BMW 320d M Touring M Spo...

Wanted Mini or something ? Sorted now
Looking for a car to buy for short term use. Wife fancies a Mini Countryman or Clubman, would consider a normal Mini at a push. Diesel or petrol considered. So it’s daily use focused rather than fun/honing about. Max spend around £8000 but if a car is reasonable and half that price I’d be happy. Any...

Will need to watch it.
Even if not for Elise air time, interested in Fiesta Supersport.
First car I bought and owned.

Re: New Lotus confirmed
Look forward to hearing more.
‘Type 131 will succeed them all in one form or another’
Original Pistonheads brief seemed to state one model, later posts more vague.
End of current Elise/Exige/Evora names, next generation start, one new name with variety of specs/styles to cover all ?

Re: Jay Emm 211
Just viewed it, thought it would be released soon since he posted about releasing a set of ‘lightweight’ Porsche reviews before Christmas. I was with Jayemm when he filmed it and did the drive by shots. Nice guy, did lunch out with James and Dom after the filming was done. Looking at mileage I’ve on...

James seems to like it and get quite excited.
So much so he forgot to talk much detail about the car !
