Re: Long shot - car to Craig at CMC

Give Chrissy Gibbs at CGE garage in Kirkhill Ind Est a call. Mate of mine and is a good mechanic, he'll sort you out. Ah, that's good to hear an endorsement, Mike. I've used CGE once a while ago for tyre fitting (via black circles I think) and would definitely go back again for other stuff. The tyr...

Re: Child seats to fit Lotus harness hole seats

The harnesses just about worked with the cheapo halfords booster, but I think boosters are from 15kg. It wasn't a great fit, but it worked just well enough to let our eldest have a short ride in the yellow car. The problem with the 2-11 is that if they sit high enough to see out then they're in the ...

Re: Child seats to fit Lotus harness hole seats

I went to Halfords and tried a few. They don't mind you taking them out to the car park to trial fit. Their own brand cheapest booster fits, but not much else did.

Re: Takata Airbag recall

Subaru were very good about this. I got lots of communication from them outlining the issue, then saying they'd be back in touch when it was my turn for a repair, then an invitation to book in for repair locally, which I did. The dealer gave me a BRZ to play with while they did the repair. That was ...

Re: All roads lead to Lotus... or do they?

Hardcore cars are more fun, but less often. The decision should definitely start with how often you want to use it. 10 sunny weekends a year? Daily? One epic trip?

Yeah, but Andy was sitting ON the M6, not IN it. That's a lot windier.

Re: Danish Audiophiles

It’s impressive, they really have a great product. Yes it’s quite pricy but you can build in chunks and you dont need wires (well you need power). We’ve a Bose acoustimas coming from Miniblonde’s Dad to replace the parts that were sacrificed from the kitchen/family room I suspect that more sonos wi...

Re: All roads lead to Lotus... or do they?

Couldn't see the sense in the Litchfield T when I first read about it. Buy a Porsche, void the warranty, and make it virtually worthless when you try to sell it on or trade it in... But having looked again last week (when you mentioned it, Andy) I totally get it now. That's a genius package, possibl...

Re: Christmas ideas - Help

Fun fact, Nick Nairn is friends with Chris Hoy, and had a go of Chris' 2-11 at Oulton park, the 2-11 which used to belong to Mike.

So Nick is practically an SEer. :D

Alpine looks better in the flesh than photos. Wildcard entry , BBR MX5 with 300 bhp, nobody would see you coming, or leaving . Really wildcard entry: MX5 with a crate LS3 525! If I fitted in a MX5, I'd be ordering the kit for this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDMrJhpeYiE&list=PLaeETZPdShsN8Xtwh...

Don't be modest, Steve, you're well deserving of the mod appointment, and a great organiser. Thanks for your efforts! I'm a terrible organiser, but I'll do my best. I'm happy to sort the camping trips for next year (a bit nearer the time). My girls will kill me if we don't go camping at least twice ...
