Re: 1st proper winter day

I also found frozen locks this morning. First time I've missed central locking I reckon.

After giving up with heating the key and spraying de-icer into the lock....I finally won by using the wife's hair dryer for 5 minutes. :D

I notice they didn't show that James May had to be retrieved from a tree in his caravan.

It's all pish. I still like watching it, but pish none the less.

Re: Wheel bolt stuck - try this...

You see these 'tuner bolts' on ebay and I was tempted at one point for my golf, but never took the plunge. They're definately not standard and that thread just shows that they're made of cheese. Surely the best option in this situation is drilling. which worked for me in the past. :D

Does the s2 cover fit straight on?
Might be an idea to get one of those if I'm leaving the car outside a lot. :?:

Re: Electric Windows

You used to be able to get a generic kit years ago that attached to the winder splines. It was a little bulky though and not spectacular on the quality stakes but might offer another avenue if it's still about.

Thought you'd be interested in this, this forum is the place for you to find the info you're after anyway.

Out of interest, I assume you can only do geo if your floor is perfectly flat? If not, how to do you go about providing a flat surface to work from?
