Thanks to Renmure & J33 I've emailed Dave to see about getting some paint correction done, but after he's done that I want to keep the paint in good condition, thought this would be ideal.....

Thoughts welcome....

As many have already said machine polishing should be left to the pro's trust me. If you really want one though get one of these. :thumbsup

Been in the motor trade for 15 years and this is all we use .

Ps. 3m rossa wax has got to be the best all round easy to use wax, hide slight marks does not take long to apply (about 1/2 a hour) and has a nice shine 8)
and gives you some satisfaction that you done it yourself.

smells nice too

...don't buy a rotary if you don't know what you are doing!!!!!!! DON"T DO IT!!!

The Porter Cable or new Meguiars machine is the one to go for. These are safer as they are both random orbital sanders which means that you'd really have to go some to damage your paint by heat. The same result can be achieved with both types, it just those that really know what they are doing can do a car much quicker with a rotary.

:thumbsup

As said machine polishing should only be left to the pro's, whether it be rotary or DA polishing. Are you in the trade?

PS - the rotary on the link has a variable speed option, therefore reducing the risk of burning through the paint. If you know what your'e doing, I would still get a rotary, but that's only my opinion as I don't have a week to polish my car
