Re: rain-x
...doesn't last at all well when I tried it.

Re: rain-x
I currently get a good 4-6 weeks per application but it did take a few applications to get it lasting that long and in fairness I'm still on my original bottle I bought over a year ago.

You should also make sure it's applied to both sides of the glass.thinfourth wrote:I've found rain-x on works on cars that were designed with this new fangled aerodynamics stuff its utterly crap on my cars

Re: rain-x
I have used rain-X on my side and rear windows. Works a treat and lasts. I have never used it on a windscreen; I have been told that it goes smeary after a few weeks, and never really recovers, unless you re-do it every 2 weeks.

Never had a problem with that on both cars.Dominic wrote:I have used rain-X on my side and rear windows. Works a treat and lasts. I have never used it on a windscreen; I have been told that it goes smeary after a few weeks, and never really recovers, unless you re-do it every 2 weeks.

Re: rain-x
If you get the Rain-X kit with the 'compound cleaner' and use it a couple of times before applying Rain-X it lasts far longer and works better.
I haven't applied Rain-X to any of my cars for about 3 or 4 months and it's still beading well.

Re: rain-x
Just a note about applying Rain X..........apply then allow to dry, apply a second coat and allow that to dry then lightly spray on some water and buff up till dry it'll be perfect, it can be temperamental in application but when you get the hang of it it's OK.
