tried RX, but it wore off quickly and I didn't like the worn out version - my fault for not reapplying

I got the rain-x baby wipe things, works well and easy to reapply (Also cleans the screen and you then just chuck it)

I currently get a good 4-6 weeks per application but it did take a few applications to get it lasting that long and in fairness I'm still on my original bottle I bought over a year ago.

You should also make sure it's applied to both sides of the glass.

I have used rain-X on my side and rear windows. Works a treat and lasts. I have never used it on a windscreen; I have been told that it goes smeary after a few weeks, and never really recovers, unless you re-do it every 2 weeks. :?

If you get the Rain-X kit with the 'compound cleaner' and use it a couple of times before applying Rain-X it lasts far longer and works better.

I haven't applied Rain-X to any of my cars for about 3 or 4 months and it's still beading well.

Just a note about applying Rain X..........apply then allow to dry, apply a second coat and allow that to dry then lightly spray on some water and buff up till dry it'll be perfect, it can be temperamental in application but when you get the hang of it it's OK.
