"Screwed" Tyre

Post by Mr Momo » Sun Apr 03, 2022 5:53 pm

Got a screw on the shoulder of my rear tyre - would love to show the photo, but not sure where to host the photo anymore

Any views/experience on whether the top/edge is a repairable area or will need a new tyre ?

Tyre is only a few thousand miles

Any recommendations for a reputable repairer in Aberdeen gratefully accepted...

They don't tend to like doing repairs on the edge. You could try the goo stuff
If you're not living on the edge you're wasting too much space!

Yep central 3/4 of the width is the standard limitation for repair.
Tyre repair kit rather than goo?

Simplest photo hosting is to use the Tapatalk app. It allows free hosting via uploads to forum posts.

Good luck with the tyre

I used a Dynaplug on my wifes car tyre that was just outside the "repairable" area, after 10k miles and it was still airtight.
