guess there was a certain 'don't-give-a-toss'-ness about cutting that clam... but was there any nasty side-effect? thinking of cutting that armco rash I have on the rear of my clam
I have no idea....

a) it's never clean enough to see any issues
b) there was so much gravel rash on it beforehand that there was more bare gelcoat than paint
c) Do you honestly think I checked? I didn't even do it - it was left with my dad for a week or so and he did it, 'cos he couldn't stand it looking so tatty!

Did you damage suspension/radiator??
Nooo - just cosmetic. Was at walking pace and 3/4 on. The windscreen got cracked as the clam popped off it's bolts and the corner banged the screen. Apart from that, no other damage. Didn't even knock the geo.
that was a bit of luck :D :D

So best solution to squashed flys on the clam is hit a tyre wall and give the car to Shug's dad for a week or so

Included in this package will be a bit of gaffer tape tastefully positioned over any bodywork "imperfections"

The gaffer tape was GrahamW's.. He was in the passenger seat at the time of impact. Later in the pitlane, he was commenting that he's brought gaffer and (for once) not needed it.

I, obviously couldn't let the poor roll of tape fell unwanted, could I?

Beer. 8)

You drink the beer whilst wife/girlfriend washes car.
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

You could borrow the sister in law, she's staying wih us just now. Maybe a bit old for you though.

I have the clay bar thingy, you would be welcome to pop down. We could maybe have a go at that driving light...
