The tub on my car has a sort of matt sheen to it post cleaning - far from mirror like and probably best described as looking like it should've when it was new.
Alutech's not massively aggressive and it's also a diminishing abrasive type in it so when you work it, the abrasives diminish leave a sharper finish - none of the haze you get with a product like t-cut which is really aggressive and non-diminishing; the abrasives just keep chewing at the surface.
A good clean before hand would be the best option: a dilution of All Purpose Cleaner and a brush would be best:

A morning would see it done quite easily if it's just the inside of the tub. Be worth taking the seats out as that makes it easier but that's a 10 minute job, tops.
