I pulled the black rubber mats up from my footwells today. There are a couple of bits of corrosion that I want to treat before they go through. Anyone know what the best stuff to use is??

Thanks,
Kev.

Plus you get a free set of high quality fitted carpet mats to replace the rubber when they have finished :)

(for "high quality" read "paper thin" ... but they are free)

Would it still be covered?? The warranty would have run out ages ago.

Have a nosey here. http://www.elises.co.uk/problems/common.html

I had my s1 exige done under warranty a couple of months ago. I called MMC with the chassis number and they just booked it in. Think it is more of a recall thing than a warranty thing (but stand to be corrected). ANyhow, MMC couldnt have been any more helpful :)

Kev

If you are out of warranty, and they are strict on the eight year limit, I have a complete kit that came with the car, so I have plenty of spare cleaning/treatment lquid that you can use rather than buying it.

I checked. It says nothing is outstanding on my car. Must be out of warranty.
