"Claying" your paintwork - VERDICT

Okay so I bought the clay at Halfrauds (£11) as was seizing the moment, if I planned it better I would have bought form Polished bliss.
Read the following guide and set about it. http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog ... clean.html
Bottom line is you clean the car and then feel the paint. Claying the car returns the paint to glass like finish and removes all the tar wax and sh*t that get on it.
Drivers door 1/4 of the rear and 1/2 the front took about 2 hours and does it work ?
Yes. Best analogy would be if you dropped a piece of silk on the paint prior it would stick now it would just float off.
Paint is glassy, and by looking at the clay as you work you see the stuff that is coming out and off of the paint. Most noticeable is under the sills and the front of the car.
It is not going to remove scratches or swirls but preps the car for waxing. I believe that "polishing" not waxing will remove the scratches and swirls but to be honest it looks like you need a machine polisher and an expert.
Pics to follow.
