Victors Detailing world

Post by Victor Meldrew » Wed May 27, 2009 6:11 pm

Decided to do a bit of detailing over the last few days, started off with the van being heavily soiled in bull sh*t from the farms that Nr Noops visits regularly. There was large deposits on the lower half of the vehicle and the underside.

The front wheel covers were heavily soiled with brake dust from repeated anchor stampings from braving the bypass over the last few days.

Image

The front of the van was covered in dead flies and skitters from various items of roadkill.

The doors were a bit of a mess, time to dig out the clay bar perhaps... or maybe just an old wet towel.

The car was given a quick blast with the power washer then a good long soak with the foam lance. I didn't have any snow foam so fairy liquid did the trick.

We had a look at a few different polishes and waxed but in the end decided that I couldn't be bothered.

The front end was finished off with an old towel.

Then moved on to the interior but thought fcuk that.
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

(that's why I think Mike will do fine, that and his lack of imagination).

The detailers at my dad's old work take their industrial jet wash to their transit van seats. Come up a treat. :thumbsup
