I use Alan Ramsay just down the road from me. He did N1 TUT and any work needed on the rest of the family cars.

He is a bit of a perfectionist, and as a guide a complete re-spray is around £1200.

Mmmm...........contact details please Tut. Just picked my car up this evening from servicing at JD Motor Engineers in Insch and noticed a ding in front lower area. Boo Hoo! Might be a winter job but a run out to see your paint man might be in order.
Not sure if it was there when I dropped off my car but you can never be sure. Nice guys at JD I must say. I'm sure it had 11 litres on the fuel gauge when I dropped it off and was on refill on pick up. I was driving within the speed limit to drop off the car ( following my Impreza buddy ;-D) so gauge may have been right enough! Oh well..........it's only money.

Am I going nuts............I never typed the following sentence/part sentence...

"a I'm too lazy to type anything constructive, but I do agree with the point above!"

Maybe I should use the forum more often so I type sense or something!

Mark, i just picked my car up from Kinghorn last Friday and am so far very impressed with what they have done. Fibre glass repairs look perfect. Will probably get a better idea after i've washed the car as this is usually when you pick up on things.

Just to update on what i said at the end there about picking up on things when washing the car - i'm not so sure i would take my car back to Kinghorn if it was ever necessary. Found a bit yesterday that's been touched up and frankly it looks like someone has went along said bit with tippex. Kinghorn also said they would change out my rusty grill when they had the front clam off, but i think they never had to take the clam off, but he told me when i pointed out that it looked like the old one had been painted that 'the new one was a bit of a mess when it arrived'. My ar5e. Murrays have since changed the grill and told me that the old one was definately the original. They were also supposed to sort out the towing eye, which i was unable to screw in at the time of the incident, due to the plastic blanking screw breaking off and most of it remaining in the hole. Needless to say they never did this either. When i collected the car i had to wait for about fifteen minutes as it was going through 'final quality control'. :damnfunny

So the moral of the story is don't trust them and if you do put your car in, check it over with a fine tooth comb. The guy there blatently lied to me when i questioned the grill. Least impressed at this.
