Try this stuff: http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog ... olish.html You'll be amazed what it can do by hand. Use the orange version of these foam pads to apply it: http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog ... olish.html

My understanding is that it may keep coming back if just treated rather than resprayed?
Calling Ally Rennie!

Not if you use an abrasive polish, like the one I've suggested above, and the scratch is not through the clearcoat. I have no idea how deep the scratch is from the photo above, but if it's not that deep, you'd be amazed what can be done by hand. It's worth giving that a go by hand first to save yourself the expense of a pro. If that doesn't work, then you can try a pro like Ally too, but remember they only have so much paint thickness to work with. So, if it's through the clearcoat you're going to have to get a respray to sort it, as no machine polishing is going to resolve that (it'll just take more and more paint off).

Always worth giving things a go by hand first but if money is no object then just book it in for a respray if you want rid of it completely.

Ally will sort it for you.

If it is through the clear coat he can fill it in with a touch up pen sand it back to level it and polish it up - obviously not as good as a spray but works almost perfect every time.

Hi there dezzy and lewis are both right. From the pic it's hard for us to tell. As dezzy say the clear coat is only so think so last thing you want to do is mess about too much with it if your unsure. A small polish with the stuff dezzy says won't do any harm, and if it comes out fab you did it yourself. If not as lewis says there are pro's out there that will be able to tell you even by lookIng at it if it will come out. Then they will be able to tell you your best option. Then it will just be down to you for what you can live with slight mark or paint it. As the pics from allys work Are great I am sure he will put you right. Hope you get it fixed it a nice car. :thumbsup
