OK car is pretty much there, I can't get under the spoiler with the polisher so I'll have to do that by hand still.

Question:
What is the best thing to spruce it up now?
It's sealed with the 3M stuff so do I just wash, dry and reapply sealant?

Spoilers can be a pain - sometimes you can open the boot or similar to get to them but I suspect this won't work on the Esprit.

Just wash and dry, then re-apply 3M Sealant (I suspect it's Performance Finish) every 2 or 3 months - or when you notice a bigger drop off in water beading.

:)

Thanks!
Yes that's the stuff.

Spoiler is bolted to back deck can't get under it :(
I toyed with the idea of removing it but I suspect the Esprit gods would smite me....

OK another problem: there are a few bits of textrued black vinyl (I think) around the top of the fornt bonnet and near the wing mirrors.

Over the years they have got contaminated with cleaning products and have white residue in the texture.
Autoglym rubber and vinyl care stuff makes no difference (But worked well ont he splitter and rubber bits) and I've tried scrubbing with the detail brush but it's not touching it.

Any ideas? I was thinking of Isopropyl Alcohol but thought it might be a bit much....

I'm sure i read the peanut butter would take that off something to do with the oils in it,

I could be speaking dirt though.

also a pencil rubber might work also but see above

It's not rubbery vinyl it's like a textured film I think.

Isopropyl Alcohol will be perfect. http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog ... l-ipa.html

Use it neat, agitiate with a stiff brush then wipe off the residue. It might take a couple of hits though but should remove it.
