I take it this Raceglaze stuff doesn't damage the finish on the interior alu? Does it not have some kind of coating?

In the market for something like this myself...eventually.

As far as I have established, the aluminium is lacquered so all you're doing is removing a very small portion of the lacquer - working by hand the amount will be negligible. Polishing paint is exactly the same, you remove a small portion of lacquer to reval an unblemished layer beneath.

The boost with Alutech over many other metal polishes is that it has quite a high concentration of solvent cleaners in it too and these help to remove tarnish etc effectively.

Blackfire All Metal Sealant, after you've polished everything, will help keeping it looking better, for longer. http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog ... alant.html

More work initally, less work in the long term. It's good as a wheel sealant and for exhausts too.

:)

The ally on the chassis is anodized. I've seen muppets polish it up to a shine - which is great until you realise there's no corrosion protection and it'll start to go in time...

So how does one clean it then? As per Polished Bliss, or do I need to consult the valet boys at MMC ;-)
