Cleaning air intakes?

What do folk use for cleaning the black air intakes on their Elises? Mine look a bit grubby and grey. Would like to get them looking new again. Simonize Back to Black? Or is there something better?

I use little silicon lubricant (tins from Halfrauds) on most of the rubbers and plastics as it rejuvenates it rather than just painting over the top like back to black does. Dust etc will stick to it for a while but the silicon absorbs in after a while.
