If you opened this expecting soaped up bikini bods then sorry....

After Knockhill the other day the car is properly disgusting. The dirt from the newly laid track is very abrasive so I don't want to put a sponge anywhere near it. I'm not (yet) possession o my own jet washing facilities. But wondered if there were any spray only (no brush) soap setups in and around Edinburgh that anyone would recommend.

any ideas?

I used to use the BP at Bruntsfield place when at Uni years ago; I passed yesterday and it still has a jet wash bit.

Used to be one at Jet in Winchburgh. Nice excuse for a 20 min drive out to check

There is one at the BP in Slateford and also one at the shell in South Queensferry.

What about one of those drive through Valet places? There is one on Ferry Road and they did a good job last time I was in.

KH was resurfaced over the winter.

Snow foam might be a better alternative. You can let it soak for 20 mins before rinsing.
Much gentler process that just hitting it with a high pressure jet wash and the harsh chemicals the garages use.
Most jet washes also use recycled water, no idea how good their filters are.......

Is Mark the valeter still based at Craig's place? He's usually very careful.

Just to update this I used the Jet Wash at the Shell in South Queensferry the other day.

Its been replaced and relocated and works well. Another bonus is the garage was completely dead.

That's good. I went to the one in Granton Morrisons and it was completely sh*t. It didn't even dent the dirt on the car. I'm still convinced KH was covered in road surfacing left overs or something as the dirt was really tough to get off.
