1st clay experience

Post by andybman » Thu Jul 26, 2007 10:33 pm

Well got some time to try out the clay i got a couple of weeks ago....

so washed the car with some turtle wax shampoo

mopped up water with a micro fibre cloth

then got down to claying......was a very weird experience at 1st and doing it at the side of a street i got a fair few dodgy....'wot the hell?' kinda looks!!

started with the toughest flies and tar spots at the front...keeping lots of lube on the clay and car

have to say it was amazing how quickly it picked off the tar etc....

then came the rain!!! :(

so a cuppa and waited for rain to clear and had a much quicker time up both sides of the car....apart from dropping the clay once and having to bin it it was a pretty eventless easy task

shudv maybe spent longer on it but it was gettin late with the rain showers holding me up....
so i moved onto some megs quik wax and i am pretty impressed with the finish...again shudv spent more time buffing etc but mist started to come down :(

anyway i managed a couple of pics before the light went completely

but just to say...anyone that hasnt tried this clay stuff yet....just do it
aslong as u keep her well lubricated then theres not much chance of any mis-haps!
