Admiral Multicar

Post by DavieK » Thu Sep 18, 2008 12:13 am

As Im looking to get an Elise as a second car again I've been doing the odd insurance quote online and they seem to be pretty good.

Got a quote for the Wife and me for our A4 2.5TDI Quattro and a standard S1 and it came in at £490 ish with protected/guarinteed NCB. With a S1 Exige and the A4 it only went upto £520 i think it was.

Both of us have clean licences, no convictions but the boss has no NCB as she has always been on my insurance although i have about 17 years but dont know if that will count for much campared with say 5.

Hope this saves somebody some cash !

May have been worth asking them to do 2 single car policies and mirror the NCB, they did that for me. in fact I didn't even ask them to mirror it, the nice call centre woman put me on hold and chatted to her superiors. So I have 5 years NCB on 2 cars now, protected on both. Might be worth considering next year?

Reckon they decided a 25yo in a Punto is less risk than in an Elise so were nice to me! Maybe it was because i'm also a named driver on another policy with them too, heck my house practically funds Admiral (ok, maybe not)

Next year i'll have 13 years NCB. 6 on 1 car, 6 on another, and 1 from Erica's policy as 'with Admiral named drivers earn Admiral NCB' Pretty decent considering I passed in 1999 ;)
