Just tried renewing my car tax online, but got knocked back because it says I'm not on the MID database.
I'm insured with CCI, just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.
Looks like a trip to the local PO for me.

Done mine back in September and insured with CCI, no issues here :thumbsup

Have a quick look at http://ownvehicle.askmid.com/ and see if you come up. :thumbsup

Apparently you can be fined so I'd check it out and if your not sort it with CCI :thumbsup

Nope, not covered according to the website.
Just fired off an email to CCI so hopefully should be sorted soon.
Just need to extra vigilant in the meantime.

This seems to be a common problem with Aviva not updating the database. I spent a while in the back of a Police car last year thanks to them

Not just Aviva - had the same experience, but managed to use the Panda 100HP insurance to get me out of jail :thumbsup

CCI have been painless to deal with so far *

Another big thumbs up for CCI here.

Did take me a while to get through. Was amazed when I told them I was changing my car half way through the policy to a Honda Elise that they said "220bhp" Yes and Nitrons "very nice sir thats you covered". End of conversation

Not a penny extra. Ive never changed car half way through a policy without having been shafted.
Nevermind to a crazy thing like this

Just changed mine from CCI to REIS after Tut's recommendation and £250 for REIS v £275 for CCI. Again, knowledable and cover track days, but will have to watch for the MID issue.

I just have to email docs/photos to Mary at REIS.
