Just got my renewal through - £328 with Admiral.
39, no points, full no claims, 07 Elise S, no mods, EH10, driveway, 4K per year, no track cover.

Went online not expecting much better, but Elephant quoted £311. As they are part of Admiral, I phoned Admiral who agreed to match the Elephant quote.

That'll do me :)

That is a good price . :thumbsup I found with Admiral even though you say 4k miles it may be an unlimited policy. I phoned up to extend my 5k and they said no need . Just go for 9k miles as there is no difference for me .

Hi,

I went with Bell - £365.

Club Racer, 33, 9 years no claim, garaged, EH7, no track cover.

I even went through it twice with the guy on the phone, couldn't believe the price.

Was paying £650 before.

Happy days.

Admiral Multi Car - me + wife, both 40something, Aberdeenshire, me with 1 x SP30)

Exige S -£315 (garaged, 10k miles pa £500 vxs)
Freelander 2 TD4 - £200 (15k miles pa £250 vxs)
Panda 100 hp - £160 (15k miles pa £250 vxs)

All substantially cheaper than the previous separate policy premiums, saving about £400 in total, so I am impressed with Admiral's cheapness

I am just taking out a family policy with Richard Egger.

It covers all five cars and four drivers, and gives us much better options with the kids. N1, N3, Audi TT, Focus Millenium, Ford Ka, with Verian and I driving all, and the kids on non Elises. We were paying £1050 for Ian alone on the Focus in Verians name, so it will now be £1,900 total, but that includes full AA recovery so I can cancel mine which was £260 for the family. No problem with points, me on 11, Verian 3(really mine), and Ian on 3 and a no fault write off. Clare of course is superior with none, and don't we know it.

It is also very flexible, you can add or subtract cars/drivers at anytime, and also wait until insurances have run out with other companies, then add them on. That means that you then get all the cars with the same start date on the policy with a single premium.

Premium for us is £1,900 at present, but much of that is for the kids and will come down when they are 21. I only have to pay a part of the premium now to put N1 and the Audi on, N3 is already with them, then the Ka goes on in May and the Focus in July. However it is probably not applicable to most of you yet.

I can't get the Multi-Car thing to work out cheaper than individually, either with Admiral, Chaucer or any of the others . Eg, using Admiral Multicar I got down to £253 for the exige which was pretty good, but as a stand-alone individual policy, again with Admiral.... it's £217. Similar swings and roundabouts with the elise :?

Only good thing is I am getting really fast at typing my name, DoB and address into these online forms

got my renewal though from admiral , £1200

added my girlfriend , changed the address to where I should be in 2 weeks and removed some extras , brought it down to £813.

Phoned again and explained Id just bought a house , was looking to cut bills yada yada yada they brought it down to £728.

Not bad I thought but still sickening compared to some quotes others have posted .

Not sure whether to try else where as admiral always beat the rest by a large margin on compare sites.

Anyone suggest a specialist company that maybe dont use the compare sites ?

Cheers .

I am also with Admiral , will be shopping round again this year . No idea why my insurance is so expensive compared to others, maybe they have a history database . A year older this year and using on line quotes it goes up £30. :?
