Before I picked up the Exige I never thought about the fact I needed to change my insurance - so obviously wondered how much it would go up by from the Elise...

So I phoned them and before on the Elise 52 plate ST I was £1300 a year (Just turned 21yrs old, 2 accidents on file, no NCB) Group 17 car..... Anyway quoted all the details of the Exige, few years newer, all options, performance pack, etc etc and what happens? Quote comes down just over £300....... :? Group 20 car........

No idea how they work it out - but another good result from Bell :cheers

Did you try any of the usual suspects?

im with A-Plan - play them off against some of the other brokers
Well worth the phone calls :thumbsup

Nope - to be honest all the other quotes I was getting were in the £3k + marker so snapped their hands off with that offer...

May give them a call tho :thumbsup

Jayus  I just paid £590 with Elephant - they were a few quid cheaper than bell and are part of the same group. Try adding a sensible, points and accident free middle aged person (well more so than you are anyway  ) it usually brings the price down with Admiral group companies.

I phoned A plan for the fist time this year, they were competetiveish, but I'd to spend over an hour on the phone to various call centers, wouldn't bother trying them again.

Why you so high Steve? That's not far off double what I paid last year.
Your same age as me, parked in similar area. I've got one no-fault accident, and one SP50.

You got any NCB?

I tried Elephant/Admiral as well - but they all work in the same call centre... So easy to bounce them off one another - just say "the person i last spoke to said...." and its helps :thumbsup

p.s Elephant were higher for me

As I will hopefully be insuring both my cars soon, I tried admiral multicar for them.

£545.06

Lotus - £406.14
Clio - £138.92

Looks good to me :D

and everyone knows my record

2 non fault claims, 1 fault claim and 2 sp30's all add up I guess :(

Woody, I've got a good book you should read... Is called 'age and guyle beats innocence, youth and a bad haircut' although having met your 'friend' in the fur coat, you're possibly excluded from at least one of the above :P
