Last year...2001 S2 insurance from Footman James was £500 but had to join Club Lotus at £50....no track days included...total £550
This year CCI.....£256 and had to join Lotus on Track £30 I think....includes 5 track days.....(Cheers Gourlay83)
Ask for Jennifer if you call them....she was good!
Total: who cares its all cash towards HGF :(

Looking to insure a 1k shed. Direct Line offered a 2nd car discount which gives the equivalent of a full NCD as you can't use your NCD twice. We have no car insurance with them but do have house insurance. At the end of the year they convert that to another set of proper full NCD. Only applicable on certain cars though.

98S VW Golf 1.6S with 10,000miles myself and my wife. Total premium was £116.55 for the year :D . Works out for me a fair bit cheaper than Admiral Multicar.

Just renewed and swapped Admiral Mutlicar for CCI for the Lotus and Admiral for the troop carrier.

S160 in Wifes name, 2 years NCB and its 301 quid compared to Admirals £439.

Thanks to Andyc for passing on Jennifer's number :cheers

Cheers chaps,

This has been a useful topic (although I know there is plenty on insurance) as I will be renewing my insurance soon. I'm 26, 8 years no claims, no points and generally an all round nice guy :D. The best quote I had got was from Admiral (I had called spcialist insurance companies as well e.g. Adrian Flux, Richard Eggar, Chris Knott, A-Plan) who £474 with protected no claims, £350 excess. As you all probably know, they will insure mods but not replace them in the event of an accident.

After hearing comments about CCI I thought I'd give them a call. They have quoted £367 for me, wife and father-in-law. Includes replacement like for like mods along with 5 track days, 1 European and £250 excess.

I spoke to John Priestman and he was kind enough to apply the 10% discount (normally for paid club memberships) because they have been getting a good few customers saying they had heard/been recommended on "Scottish Elises".

Really pleased with that, cheers again guys,

Graeme

CCI sounded the cheapest but sounds like you are going Admiral :?

CCI were the cheapest by far and I will be renewing with them! I hadn't heard of CCI before and the cheapest until that point had been Admiral, and I had shopped round.

CCI came up top for me too... S2 111s, 25 years old, 7 year no claims, parked on street in EDI all for a brilliant £419 including 5 trackdays!! :D

That was over £200 less than my renewal from elephant so I was fairly pleased to say the least!
